Jurisdiction-specific flags (California) Five issues require attention because the employee will be CA-resident: 1. **Non-compete (Section 7):** California Business and Professions Code §16600 makes the non-compete void and unenforceable. As of 2024, AB 1076 also requires employers to notify current and former employees of unenforceability.
